Location:  Located approximately 30 minutes NE of Chama, NM and 15 minutes SW of Antonito, CO in the small community of Fox Creek.  From State Highway 17 turn North onto Forest Road 101 and travel approximately 1.25 miles to the property.

Terrain:  Ponderosa Pine meadow dropping down into Aspen lined drainage then rising up to high ridge overlook.

Habitat: Beautiful, majestic stand of Ponderosa Pines provide cover for many native birds and small wildlife.  The numerous Aspens offer spectacular color in the fall.  An impressive ridge provides outstanding views of the property and surrounding Rio Grand National Forest. 

Wildlife: This property is surrounded on 3 sides by the Rio Grande National Forest which is 1.83 million acres and allows for amazing outdoor recreation right in your own back door.  Hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and camping are just a few of the activities this property offers.  There is plenty of big game including mule deer, elk, bear and mountain lion (game management unit 81).  The Conejos River is just 1.5 miles from this property and is renowned as one of the best trout streams in Colorado, yet it is relatively unknown to many.  The Conejos has numerous tributaries that offer secluded fishing opportunities for the serious angler. 

Improvements:  This property offers two cabins that are cozy and ready for your creative inspiration.

 There is an A frame cabin that is approximately 1924 square feet (as per CAD) with a back deck offering fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.  This cabin has 2 large bedrooms and 1 bath, an open kitchen and living area.  A winding staircase takes you to the bunkroom that can house many guests.   There is a wonderful, red wood burning stove in the living area that provides ample heat and is a great center piece for the cabin.

A 2370 square foot (as per CAD) 2 story log cabin offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a large, open kitchen, living room with central fireplace and dining area.  This cabin has some wonderful, custom wrought iron touches and lovely wood cabinets.  It is unfinished and ready for your personal touch. 

Both cabins are serviced by a generator for their power.  The water is hauled in from town in a water trailer.  The current owners have obtained verbal bids on drilling a well.  The adjacent properties have wells so there is drillable water in the area.
