McGahey Marsh

The McGahey Marsh is a great combination property featuring woods, water, pasture, and recreational opportunities.  The ranch is located 6 miles southeast of Murchison and includes plenty of seclusion.  There are multiple home or cabin sites overlooking most of the property with street utilities available.

Location: The property is located 10 miles east of Athens and 6 miles southeast of Murchison.  The ranch is accessed on CR 4828 and just a short drive to lake Athens.

Water: A few small drainages feed Flat Creek which bisects the property.  Murphy Branch and Flat Creek both contribute to a good size natural marsh located on the north end of the property.

Land:  The ranch has a mixture of bermuda and bahai grasses including several cross fences.  There is variety of oak trees scattered throughout the acreage.  The southern part has many possibilities for a home or cabin with a portion of the property is in the flood plain and approximately  2/3 wooded.

Wildlife: There is a collection of wildlife on the ranch including deer, hogs, dove, an ducks.
