Wildlife abounds on Sandy Fork Meadows due to excellent habitat and plentiful precipitation – healthy populations of Whitetail Deer are present here, and the bucks can grow large racks when allowed to reach maturity. The ranch is ideal Rio Grande Turkey habitat. The current owner maintains two corn feeders for game, and describes the turkeys not in singles but in flocks. Feral hogs provide year-round hunting opportunity. Migrating Mourning dove and waterfowl are present in the Fall. Occasionally a covey of Bobwhite quail can be located as well.
Due to timely Spring rains, a few cattle are planned to be stocked soon. The grazing rights are leased to a local operator who also fertilizes the primary meadow at his expense.
