Location: The ranch is located approximately 7 miles west of Dilley, Texas. It is accessed by paved county road, CR 4843.

Habitat: The Stout Family Ranch is located in the heart of south Texas red sand country. The ranch’s habitat is typical of a traditional south Texas hunting ranch. Mesquite, prickly pear, black brush, guajillo, and persimmon are some of the plants present. A portion of the ranch was historically used as a farm several decades ago. This portion of the property is currently reestablished in a mature, mottted state ideal for quail hunting.

Agriculture: The ranch is currently under a 1D1 agriculture exemption.

Wildlife & Hunting: The ranch is currently hunted by family. A healthy white-tailed deer herd is established on the ranch. Additional hunting opportunities include quail, dove, and hogs.


Lodge- Structural improvements are limited to a hunting cabin and the original farm house. The hunting cabin is functional and the farm house is not.

Roads- The ranch has an established road system allowing access to the entire ranch. The property has good paved road access t the front gate from I-35.

Other Improvements- The ranch has a nice earthen tank that can be supplemented by a Carrizo water well.

Water: The ranch has three functioning water wells. Two shallow wells supply water to the cattle pens and the hunting cabin. A Carrizo well is powered by three phase electricity and is believed to pump greater than 100 GPM. A three inch poly line connects the Carrizo water well to the earthen tank.
