Wildlife
Hunting, fishing and recreation are paramount on Rocky Creek Ranch. The ranch’s diversity creates outstanding habitat for numerous white-tailed deer, foxes, bobcats and other native species. Ducks, dove, raptors and other fowl species are supported by the many ponds and great ratio of cover.
Improvements
A historic concrete airstrip bisects the ranch giving great access across the property while also making this ranch accessible from anywhere in the country. A large hangar currently serves as storage but could easily be restored to its intended use. Painted in white, on the roof of the hangar, “Rocky Creek Ranch” lets aviators know they are on their final descent. As you head south down the airstrip, you come to some cattle pens and the large 15-acre Rocky Creek Ranch Lake. Known for great fishing and duck hunting, this lake provides endless recreational opportunities.
Four additional living structures including a leased home and multiple barns are spaced evenly across the ranch with power and water infrastructure in place creating many longterm build sites. Fertilized pastures, miles of fencing and seven stock ponds dispersed throughout make this a prolific cattle ranch while selective clearing and large stands of hardwoods create a secluded and segmented layout leaving the ranch feeling much larger than its fence lines.
Water
One of the signature pieces of Rocky Creek Ranch is its mile and a half long stretch of the live water Rocky Creek. The creek bisects the ranch flowing north to south with close to a mile owned on both sides. As you head south down the creek, heavily canopied and clay bottom stretches open up into cypress and oak-lined rocky outcroppings with deep pools and falls in wet seasons.
With proximity to Austin, Houston and San Antonio, opportunities are endless on this large and diverse ranch.
