Pine Mountain Reserve is located within two miles of Brownsboro, Texas, between Tyler, Texas and Athens, Texas. The ranch is approximately 80 miles southeast of the central Dallas area, a short drive for those looking for a quick getaway from city life. It’s in an area we like to call the East Texas Hill Country and believe us when we tell you that it lives up to the name.

Brownsboro offers quick access for gas, grocery and several casual dining options, while nearby Chandler and Athens provide other services and a number of higher-end dining options.
Sophisticated medical facilities are available in Athens (UT Health Athens-20 minute drivetime) and Tyler (UT Health Tyler-30 minute drivetime).

Architecture

Architecture is an essential element in creating the perfect ranch-style property for Pine Mountain Reserve, as reflected by the Member Lodge and the initial David Stocker-designed home on the property. Napa Valley Reserve and Blackberry Farm serve as design inspirations.

The homes located within the reserve will follow guidelines to help create high-quality architecture that blends into the nature it surrounds. David Stocker of SHM Architects is the project architect for the Reserve. Lake Flato and Ryan Street Architects are also approved architecture firms. While other architects may be approved, all designs must fit within our overall architectural scheme to create a community that considers nature in every element.

In addition, in order to provide proper scale and not overpower the natural environment, home sizes are limited to a maximum of 7,000 square feet of heated and cooled space plus 1,800 square feet for garage/outbuildings. Sustainable building practices and alternative energy sources are also encouraged, provided they are integrated into the architecture scheme.

Development experience and the sponsors behind the Reserve

Pine Mountain Reserve has been organized by the Reserve Founder, which is a venture between the principals of Cienda Partners and the principals of Ethos Club & Leisure. Together, the team has decades of experience in the creation, ownership and operation of high-quality ranch clubs and recreational properties. This experience includes the creation of two successful private, shared ownership reserves similar to the structure of Pine Mountain.
