Summer in the Texas Hill Country is meant for visiting your favorite swimming holes, but there’s a chance your favorite swim spot is being affected by the ongoing Texas drought. This Wimberley ranch could not only be your forever home but also your best chance to beat the heat this summer.

Blanco River Hacienda is on sale for $6.4 million, according to a listing from broker agents Natalie Dean, David Boyles and Mark Matthews with Republic Ranches.

“Set against a backdrop of rolling hills, majestic oak trees, and a picturesque spring-fed creek that meanders through the property before joining the emerald waters of the Blanco River, the estate’s unique blend of natural beauty and architectural elegance, coupled with its extensive live-water frontage, offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of the Hill Country’s most coveted real estate,” the listing reads.

The retreat sits on a stretch of the Blanco River where guests can swim in roughly 740 feet of exclusive river frontage, the listing noted. The river features gentle rapids, a partial dam, deep swimming areas and an inlet with limestone coves and overhangs. The river isn’t the only flowing water going through the property, a spring-fed creek gives folks calm and peaceful relaxation.

Owners can go swimming, kayaking, fishing, or whatever they can think of, but this property is also stunning once you’re done enjoying nature.

The Santa Barbara-style main home features three bedrooms, two-half bathrooms, an office, a laundry room and windows that allow people to take in the spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country. Outside of the 3,411-square-foot residence is an infinite pool, outdoor kitchen and a covered pavilion, according to the listing.

A guest home is used as a short-term rental, which has four separate suites with their entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, bar and sauna, the listing noted. It also has an upstairs game room. A 950-square-foot studio is on the property as well and overlooks the river and the landscape. A three-stall barn and detached two-car garage are on site too.
