Long Prairie Ranch - Bastrop County, Smithville, TX

Location: The ranch is located between Smithville and Giddings off of county road  289; to Smithville it is a 12 mile drive and to Giddings it is a 13 mile drive. The Lee and Bastrop county divides the ranch nearly in half. 53 miles to downtown Austin and 125 miles to downtown Houston.  

Habitat: The property is mainly wooded with a large open field on the east side. The ranch is on the western edge of the Post Oak Savanna Region. The forested areas of the ranch are a mixture of oak and diverse underbrush. Scattered across the property are 6 ponds that during the winter hold a good number of waterfowl. A few of these ponds have bass and catfish. 

Wildlife: The white-tailed deer on the property are abundant with great habitat scattered across the ranch. Ducks utilize the ponds during their migration. Wild hogs can be found in many of the wooded areas and utilizing the abundant water sources throughout the ranch.  A diverse number of songbirds are found on the ranch due to the thickly wooded areas. 

Improvements: The ranch has an impressive road system that makes traveling to any corner of the ranch easy. There is electricity and water located are on the property but has not been utilized in some years. 

Water: The Ranch has 6 stock ponds that are used for livestock and wildlife. Many of these ponds are stocked with fish and in the winter months hold a number of waterfowl.  The property does not currently have a water well but the wells in the area are 300-400 feet deep.                

Electricity: Electric lines run to the house area on the east side of the property.

Access: The ranch is accessed by a deeded easement.

Minerals: 10% of owned minerals will convey at asking price.
