The Tangled Oaks Ranch is located in northeastern Edwards County just 3 miles from the Real/Edwards County line. The shared entrance to the ranch is located on Hwy 41 and is only 2 miles down a shared and maintained access easement.
Topography, Rangeland & Habitat
Characteristic of the divide country, the terrain provides very gentle undulations studded with live oak, shin oak, and clusters of ashe juniper. There is one wet weather creek that starts its journey on the ranch. This provides a gentle watershed that has been utilized to impound runoff for wildlife watering purposes.
Wildlife
The Tangled Oaks Ranch has been properly and meticulously managed for white-tailed deer, axis deer and a newly introduced herd of scimitar oryx. These herds of native and exotic species have been managed over the years to achieve trophy-level status while keeping population levels consistent and maintaining healthy ratios. With a feed program and excellent water distribution, Tangled Oaks one of the finest Edwards County hunting ranches available.
Whitetail: The introduction of high-genetic-pedigree white-tailed deer in 2016 has yielded bucks averaging above 150” at 3 years old, with the potential to surpass 200+ inches.
Axis: Axis deer, thriving on the ranch for years, reproduce at a high rate consistently producing 30”+ bucks at full maturity.
Oryx: Two males and two females were introduced to the property in 2021. This year they will produce their first offspring.
Improvements
Main House: A fully furnished two-bedroom, one-bathroom residence (14×45) offers comfortable living with amenities such as two queen-size beds, washer & dryer, refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, TV, and furniture. Internet and cell phone booster included which can accommodate TV streaming and clear phone reception. Covered porches with decks on both the east and west sides of the main house.
Bunkhouse: Furnished with two bedrooms and one bathroom, this accommodation includes a queen bed in one room and two single beds and a bunk bed in the other. The ranch perimeter is encased in a high fence, complete with a .70-acre high-fenced catch pen in the northeast corner.
Additional Structures include two 8’x40’ storage containers and a 20’x20’ shed.
The ranch also comes with:

Water
