Rob Grainger was born and raised in Houston, Texas and is a 4th generation landowner in Washington County, just outside of Brenham. In his youth, Rob would spend every opportunity at their Mayfair Ranch receiving a hands-on education in ranching and wildlife while working alongside his family. This opportunity and the various leases his family held in South Texas instilled a deep desire to pursue a career in Ranch Management and Real Estate. Rob studied wildlife biology and rangeland ecology at Texas A&M University and moved to Corpus Christi shortly after graduation in 2009. This move was to pursue his career as the Ranch and Wildlife Operations Manager for the Dallas-based Jones family on their landholdings and leases in Texas, Kansas, and Missouri. In 2013, Rob obtained his Real Estate license to pursue farm and ranch real estate while managing the Jones’ rural lands. He feels very fortunate to be able to both manage the Jones’ family land assets while also focusing on his real estate career.
Rob also owns and operates Grainger Ranch Recruiting, LLC, placing high-end
employees on farms and ranches throughout the United States. With Rob’s varied
experiences across nearly all facets of rural land ownership, he is exceptionally qualified to assist buyers and sellers in their farm and ranch transactions. Outside of Real Estate, he is well versed and practiced in the fields of wildlife management, brush management, ranch budgeting, capitalizing on ranch revenue streams, staffing, improvements, and operations.
Rob joined the Republic Ranches team in 2017 and has brokered over 85,000 acres in rural lands since joining the team. Although he has a hard time choosing his favorite transaction, the sales of the 7,500-acre Compadres Ranch in Brooks County, the 2,500-acre Papalote Ranch in Bee County and the 2,900-acre 4S Ranch in La Salle County are among his top three favorite representations.
He lives in Corpus Christi, TX with his wife Georgia and sons Robert and Mitchell. They attend the Church of the Good Shepherd and serve the church at varying capacities. Rob also sits on the board of 2 outdoor industry businesses and serves on the Board of Halo Flight, Inc. Rob is also a member of the Corpus Christi Country Club.
Rob is licensed in Texas.
