Topography, Rangeland & Habitat
The ranch has gentle undulation, providing views and drainages with elevation ranging from 520’ to 440’. In the past 2 years, the landowners root plowed, stacked, and burned roughly 660 acres of the ranch. After they were done with the clearing and burning, the owners drilled in a 5 way Bermuda grass blend. The recruitment was great with quality rainfall after planting the pastures, allowing for root establishment and good grazing. They did not clear in the riparian and heavily drained areas, providing quality mixed brush and open country for the deer and quail that thrive on the property.
Wildlife
Bee County can produce quality quail numbers, and this ranch, being more open in nature, could be managed for quail populations. In the more densely covered areas that were not cleared, there are deer and other native game. Bee County is also known for great dove hunting around the ponds in the evening. This ranch has not been hunted in years lending to someone that wants to build up a great game ranch.
