Location

The Manahuilla Creek Ranch is fronting paved FM 884 approximately 12 miles northwest of Goliad and 11 miles south of Yorktown, just to the southwest of Weesatche, Texas. 

Topography, Rangeland & Habitat

With 50’ of elevation change falling into the 2 creek systems, the ranch has quality views and homesite potential. The deep draws and runoff drainages also lend themselves to lake opportunities with appropriately placed dams. The habitat is consistent with Goliad County having large, mature oaks. In fact, one of these trees in particular could rival just about any oak in the state. There is quality mixed brush and dense canopies of oaks, elms and hackberries along the creeks. The ranch has quality grazing potential and is currently used for recreational hunting and cattle. 

Wildlife

The ranch has a good population of deer, turkey and hogs consistent with the area.

Improvements

There is an old set of cattle working pens.

Water

There are 2 water wells on the property. 1 is operable and the 2nd needs to be tested for viability. Manahuilla Creek runs through the center of the property and Goat creek runs along the southern boundary providing riverine habitat and topographic relief. There is water to cattle troughs on the ranch.
