Over 7,000 acres of hunting space…or drive to Starbucks.

Texas’ many, many wide-open spaces seem to get even wider the farther south you go, as you hit the Rio Grande Valley and the Mexico border. The land becomes perfect for hunters of all kinds to scout the territory and track down their prey. For one such property, if you don’t catch anything, you can always drive to Chick-fil-A or Starbucks.
La Brisa, located in Starr County near Rio Grande City, is the latest property to hit the market with Republic Ranches. Offering more than 7,400 acres of ranching space, the property is also a prime hunting destination, coming in with a price tag of $20.3 million.
The ranch is rooted in a ranching system first developed in the 18th century when massive ranches dominated the Rio Grande Valley, the listing reads. The area is still defined by “large legacy ranches, native South Texas brush, productive farm land,” and a unique blend of “heritage, productivity, and long-term investment appeal.”
La Brisa may have the means to support herds of cattle, but hunters will be satisfied with healthy supplies of white-tailed deer, turkey, doves, and quail that have continuously roamed the property since the 1970s. With 60 miles of boundary fence, 170 feet of elevation, multiple water wells, and grain produced from 900 acres of agricultural fields, future owners need only to step outside their door to fulfill their hunting desires.
Once the hunting is done, the future owner will have three houses to pick from, complete with 30,000 square feet of barns and “quality pipe working pens.” If the hunt was unsuccessful, they’d only need to drive 18 minutes into Rio Grande City to bite on Chick-fil-A, Starbucks or H-E-B plus!
