Location: Riverbend is situated in the North Texas Hill Country about 1.5 hours northwest of Dallas, Texas. The area surrounding Riverbend is full of fun possibilities. Within just several minutes you will find two beautiful wineries, an old German market that smokes their own meats, quaint shops, and an 18 hole golf course. The ranch is located on County Road 435 about 12 miles north of St. Jo, Texas.
Land: The terrain at Riverbend can be divided into two main sections: an upper rolling section with excellent pastures and a lower section along the river with level ground and mature pecan trees. The house and horse facilities are in the upper rolling section overlooking the “pecan bottom pastures” and Red River. With 1.5 miles of beach along the Red River, numerous recreational opportunities await. An approximately 40 acre section of hardwood timber lies on the south end of the property. The ranch’s elevation ranges from 705’ along the Red River to 825’ on the hills in the south east corner of the ranch. Riverbend and the surrounding countryside are very scenic—reminiscent of the California Wine Country.
Main House: The main house is a 10,000 sq. ft. Frank Welch designed home constructed out of cedar and stone. The upper porch and living area afford panoramic views of the Red River Valley. A majestic walk-around stone fire place is the centerpiece for the great room and can be seen from the kitchen as well.
