Land and Habitat: There are 85 acres of cultivation used for wheat in the fall for forage and attractant for wintering geese and whitetails. In the summer one of the 50-acre fields is planted in native sunflower for a fall dove attractant. The balance of the range has been restored to native grasslands and holds a few coveys of quail.
Improvements: 200 acres on the west side of the property (and another 5 acres on the east) sit outside of the permanent conservation easement. An old feed barn has been converted into a very unique rustic five-bedroom lodge that is set up to sleep 20 along with a large entertaining area perfect to pass the time between hunts. With these improvements in place, there are income opportunities available right away through leasing or outfitting.
