About Robert 

Robert Rutherford is a 6th generation Texan, born and raised in Houston. Robert grew up hunting on his family ranch in Pearsall. Robert graduated from Texas Christian University in 2017 with a General Studies degree. Robert started to take a camera along with him while hunting to show others what he saw, and before he knew it he sometimes only had a camera on him while going out on hunts. Robert lives in Houston and is a media consultant for the Republic Ranches team. Robert is licensed in Texas.

1. What other areas of expertise do you have that can help your clients?

I grew up on ranches my whole life. In the short time that I have been working with Republic Ranches LLC as an agent and photographer it has taking me to over 150 plus ranches from the piney woods of East Texas to the sand sheets of South Texas to the mountains of West Texas. Being on these ranches has giving me a better perspective and knowledge that will help me help my clients. 

2. What are some hobbies you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Hunting on my family’s place as well as traveling with my soon to be wife.

3. What is your go-to travel spot?

Pearsall, Texas.

4. Do you have a favorite “off the beaten path” restaurant when you’re on the road? 

The Salt Lick on FM 1826 and 967.

5. What is your proudest moment or favorite memory while working with Republic Ranches?

Working with a client on a deal that most people couldn’t see the potential, but I was fortunate enough to have a client that trusted me. After looking at the property 6 or 7 times we came up with a plan and were able to get him his dream ranch. The property was 1,500 acres with 3 miles of the Navasota River just off HWY OSR.
