Nolan Pickens was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended the Episcopal School of Dallas and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Energy Management. Nolan comes from a multi-generation ranching family – he grew up hunting and running cattle at his family’s ranch in Montana and continues to do so at their current ranch in West Texas. 
 
Nolan has a vast knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry, subsurface contract law and negotiation, and mineral management from his time as a Petroleum Landman. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, golfing, and traveling to San Diego, California. He currently lives in Dallas with his wife Larson, and dogs Chappy and Mr. Pickles.
