Tallon has completed some of the most significant land deals in modern Texas ranch brokerage. Notable transactions include the sale of 17,634 acres in the Glass Mountains of Brewster and Pecos Counties, a complex 10,000-acre purchase option in Matagorda County along the Texas Gulf Coast, and the sale of the historic 2,382-acre El Rancho Cima in Hays and Comal Counties on the Blanco River. He is a two-time recipient of Texas Land Magazine’s Land Star Award, recognizing the largest transactions in the West Texas and Texas Hill Country region. Additional major ranch sales include 1,160 acres in Llano County on the banks of the Llano River and Hickory Creek, a complex 1,021-acre transaction in Limestone County involving ownership discrepancies, title issues, and active oil and gas activity. In addition, he has multiple large-acreage transactions ranging from 100 to 1000 acres throughout Burnet, Gillespie, Kendall, Lee, Bastrop, and San Saba Counties, among others across Texas. These projects reflect Tallon’s deep understanding of Texas land markets and his track record of executing complex, high-value transactions for both private and institutional clients.
Tallon’s approach is informed by a degree in Agricultural Economics (Finance & Real Estate) from Texas A&M University and practical experience gained on his family’s ranch in Colorado County. This unique background allows him to advise clients on the finer points of land stewardship, from pasture restoration to wildlife habitat management. A dedicated conservation advocate, Tallon has served as a Board Fellow of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, Past Cochair of the Austin Chapter of Stewards of the Wild, and past president of the Austin Woods and Waters Club. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife, daughter, and son, and is licensed throughout the state of Texas.
