The Pedernales River is one of the iconic Texas Hill Country rivers. With its headwaters just southwest of Harper, TX, the Pedernales makes its 106 mile journey through Gillespie County, Blanco County, northern Hays County and then flows into the Colorado River and Lake Travis in Travis County. Along its course, the river supports a variety of species including Guadalupe bass (the Texas State Fish) and largemouth bass just to name a couple.
The are a couple of shallow seasonal ponds as well that hold water following rainfall.
In addition, the ranch has one water well equipped with an electric submersible pump. This well currently provides water for the improvements.
Terrain & Habitat:
The ranch has a balanced mixture of tree covered grasslands, gently sloping hillsides and a wet weather creek leading to the river that all provide excellent habitat for wildlife and space for recreational activities.
