The ranch is situated 6.4 miles southwest of Lampasas and is accessed via Lampasas-Burnet Road. There is an approximately 0.83-mile-long fee simple stripe leading to the main ranch. The property is surrounded by large ranches, giving it a very private feeling.

The property has gently rolling terrain, with elevations ranging from 1280 ft at the back to 1320 ft at the highest point where the house is located. The habitat consists mainly of Spanish oaks, ash junipers, and open grassland sections. Turnips are planted in the fall to provide for white-tail deer.
