Red River Valley Ranch is a premier 430 acre riverfront property located in the beautiful North Texas Hill Country.  The main home was designed by renowned Texas-modernist architect Frank Welch and is thoughtfully positioned overlooking the Red River. Incredible views! With its 1.6 miles of Red River frontage, first-class horse facilities, hundreds of mature pecans and lush rolling pastures, Red River Valley is among the finest ranches of its kind in the region.

*Ranch can be purchase in two separate tracts. See below for details.

Location: Red River Valley Ranch is situated in the North Texas Hill Country about 1.5 hours northwest of DFW International Airport. The ranch is located at 3748 County Road 435, Saint Jo, TX.

Land:   The terrain at Red River Valley Ranch can be divided into two main sections–an upper rolling section with excellent pastures and a lower section along the river with level ground, lush grass and mature pecan trees. The main homesite area offers fabulous views towards the Red River and beyond. Due to the dramatic bend in the river, you can actually see across Oklahoma and back into Texas as you look east from upper porch. A 4+ acre lake stocked with bass sits between the home and the river. The house and horse facilities are in the upper rolling section overlooking the “pecan bottom pastures” and Red River. With 8,700 feet of beach along the Red River, numerous recreational opportunities await. An approximately 40 acre section of hardwood timber lies on the south end of the property. The ranch’s elevation ranges from 705’ along the Red River to 825’ on the hills in the south east corner of the ranch. Red River Valley Ranch and the surrounding countryside is certainly one of the most scenic areas within 3 hours of Dallas.

Main House:

The main house, built in 2001, is a 7,000 sq. ft. (heated/cooled) Frank Welch designed home constructed out of cedar and stone.  Renowned architect Frank Welch passed away in 2017 and was legendary for his Texas modernist style.
