Blanco County’s Westcave Cellars Winery is on sale for almost $4M

Love heading to the Texas Hill Country for great wine, owning your own winery could be a reality when this Hye property hit the market. The Blanco County winery is perfect for anyone who wants to get into the wine industry.

Westcave Cellars Winery & Tasting Room is on sale for $3.75 million in Hye, according to a listing from broker associate Natalie Dean with Republic Ranches.

“This highly sought-after location is well-known for attracting a substantial number of visitors each year who are in search of the best wineries, vineyards, breweries, and distilleries,” the listing reads. “With 25 years of experience, Westcave Cellars Winery has proudly built a reputation for producing award-winning fine wine using 100% Texas-grown grapes.”

The over 30-acre property is located at 683 Ranch Road 1320, Johnson City, TX 78636. The 2,200-square-foot wine tasting room was recently remodeled. The “Hydeaway” is a two-bed, two-bathroom short term-rental with a full kitchen, laundry, dining, and living room in the 2,000-square-foot secondary home, according to the listing.

The facility features a small and large winery building, an 84-gallon-per-minute water well, RV parking and pad site with electric hookups, and a small 10-foot by 20-foot storage building, according to the listing.

Westcave Cellars Winery has won gold medals and Judge’s Selection for its Reserve Sangiovese, Vigneron, and Tannat at the TEXSOM International Wine Awards, according to the listing.

Other wineries in the area include William Chris Vineyards, Portree Cellars, Hye Meadow Winery, and many more, the listing states.

Westcave Cellars Winery opened in 2011 and by 2019 the winery was also perfecting craft beer to serve, according to the Westcave Cellars Winery website.
