Rancho Ala Blanco - Duval County, Hebbronville, TX

Rancho Ala Blanca is approximately 400 acres of land in southern Duval County, Texas at the southeast of the corner of County Road 250 and County Road 253.  It  is also located about halfway between Falfurrias, Texas and Hebbronville, Texas, approximately seven miles north of Highway 285, west of the town of Ramirez. The gated entrance to the property is off of County Road 253, south of County Road 250, with an improved caliche road leading from the entrance to the site of the camp. The property has five ponds, one near each corner of the property , with water supplied by two water wells.  In addition there is a fish pond near the camp that is stocked with catfish, bass and bream. There are also four portable deer blinds and corn feeders on the ranch for deer and hog hunting.

     The camp facilities include a 30’x50’ enclosed metal barn (with an attached 20’x50’ overhang), two fully equipped covered trailers, a covered cooking area with picnic table, fire pit and game cleaning facilities. A two-seat Kawasaki Mule with removable dog boxes, mowers and a large collection of implements and tools also come with the property. The barn includes an air-conditioned bathroom and shower, washing machine and dryer, refrigerator and gun safe. The trailers are self-contained living facilities with air conditioning, heating, stove, refrigerator, dining table, bathroom, TV and beds. One trailer has a queen size bed, sofa that makes out into a bed and two bunk beds. The other trailer has a queen size bed, sofa that makes out into a bed and four bunk beds. The two trailers are located end-to-end on a concrete pad with a storage room between them that contains a refrigerator and wine cooler and with a covered porch that runs the length of the trailers. A large propane tank with sufficient capacity to provide propane to both trailers for the hunting season is located near the trailers. The trailers, cooking area and fire pit are enclosed with a perimeter fence within which are planted grass and oak trees watered with a sprinkler system.

     This area of Texas, with its sandy, sandy loam soils, is well known for its exceptional dove and quail hunting, and this ranch fits that description perfectly.
